Marketing Tips
  • Exposure is the key. Put your DeskMate links on your Home page and your other busiest pages. Remember: Graphic links work best. Links

  • Keep varying the advertising materials you use. Even the best banner will eventually lose its power to push visitors to our site. As they say "Variety is the spice of life!" So about once a month pick a new banner from our list and replace your current one. You will notice the increased traffic and increased $$$$! Links

  • EXPERIMENT! Note how many visitors and sales you get with a particular combination of promotional materials and then modify one item and see if that improves your results. Keep changing things a little at a time until you hit on a good system. Leave that for a few weeks then start again.

  • Don't restrict yourself to using our sample banners. Have fun and be creative by making your own banners (the standard size is 468 pixels x 60 pixels). We'd love to see your creations.

  • Ensure that the fundamentals are right. Check that your links work correctly and that visitors and sales are being tracked correctly to your account. There is no point having a great promotion if it is not sending visitors to the correct URL! Check Your Links Now

  • Get your associate program links on your friends' web pages. If they like our DeskMates but aren't interested in joining our associates program then they probably wouldn't mind helping you out by displaying your link on their homepage.

  • Place a link that is visible on each page on your site, e.g. your Menu Bar, the page header or footer. More exposure = More hits = More Money

  • Design your own dedicated page to the DeskMates. Link to it from your Home Page and Menu

  • Include a DeskMate link in your newsletter, autoresponders or email signature filess.

  • Don't just think this is limited to the internet. Have your link in traditional mailouts, newsletter, papers.
