Oska was established in 1997 by CEO
Mark Coorey. We commenced operations with a revolutionary educational and training program. Our corporation's mascot, Oska, was incorporated into our software to assist the user, to make the program more entertaining to use and to give us a marketing edge. It soon became clear that the little animated Koala was the driving force behind sales of the program.
Due to Oska's popularity, we decided to release him as a standalone product.
Oska DeskMate was launched in August 1998. We had no idea that
Oska would start an animation revolution for PC users. Now over a decade later, we have
17 DeskMates with over 82 million downloads to their credit.
Oska also produces free animated greeting cards. Our eCards can be found at
www.cards-n-toons.com. Our eCards are so popular that many sites license and display them. Cards-n-Toons.com attracts
over 3 Million Unique Visitors per month downloading a staggering
3,000 Gigabytes monthly.
Cards-n-Toons has many popular eCards but the most successful is called "
Nowhere To Run - Nowhere To Hide". The parody of Harry Belafonte's Banana Boat song was seen by 35 Million people worldwide in the three months following September 11, making it one of
